This beautiful set was made and traveled from the Philippines where the placuna placenta mollusk can be found. The mollusks are harvested by fisherman for their meat and also used for decor and handicrafts. Each shell is unique.
All pieces and set were made by Kultura sometime between 2004- a few years back, not sure of exact date. Sold into retail chain SM Dept Store with retail locations all around the Philippines.
