Beautiful hand crafted elephant motif artisanal bowl plate most likely made as a decorative piece from Africa, India or Thailand.
It is some type of clay or earthenware, not bronze or copper. Piece is large 15" diameter. Artist stamp & warning on back of plate suggest the piece was made in the 1950's - late 1970's as these type of warnings were more common due to import regulations. (Paul Revere Cookware and Pottery had similar warnings during this time but did not issue any elephant designs)
A very nice, possibly one of a kind rare piece!
